Mash­able came out with this info­graphic on read­ing habits a few days ago. I thought it was fascinating.

Here are some of the inter­est­ing statistics.

• Women are 50% more likely to fin­ish a book than men.
• The most pop­u­lar genre that men read is historical.
• 30% of peo­ple will have stopped read­ing by page 50. Yes. I have.
• Only 35% of peo­ple will fin­ish a book that is over 700 pages long. Reminds me that I need to get back to that George Wash­ing­ton biog­ra­phy. I think I left off at page 162 out of 928.
